If you are my age, you may not know the Panzer Dragoon. This video game was developed by Team Andromeda exclusively for SEGA Saturn in 1995. This video game has different sequels. Each one is about a guy who rides dragons that fire lasers at an evil empire.
In this article, I am going to talk only about the first one. This video game belongs to the category of shooters. Typically, shooters from this era were science fiction where you could only shoot in front of you. Panzer Dragoon innovated in two respects.
The first, the creativity of the background. The designs were greatly influenced by Moebius who managed to create a harmony of very organic designs with others that were not, giving life to the so characteristic Panzer Dragoon design.
The second point was the gameplay. The enemies no longer came only in front of you but also from everywhere. So in few words, your dragon was programmed to move by itself while you shoot in a 360 view. I highly recommend you to play the game. It's the best way to live the experience that only Panzer Dragoon can give.
