Mexicans Animators

written by Erick Aguilar

Well, Mexicans are used to doing more administrative things than artistic things and that is a big mistake. There are many, many Mexicans who make art, however, most of them escape from Mexico because they do not offer job security since that part is not supported.

There are too many Mexican animators, such as the case of Luis de la Cerda specialized in lighting or for example Hugo Blend, an important animator of Rick and Morty. What I particularly like about this 25-year-old is that, like the filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, he cares a lot about the labor issue of animation in Mexico, one of his ideas is to support Mexican talent to produce more and more art. on this side of the pond. He has not done his studies, at the age of 19 started working at Nickelodeon by try and error.

There is also Karla Castañeda a young woman originally from Guadalajara, who has made films like Jacinta that won a reward in best animation and direction.
Unless for me that I am interested in anation they are my inspiration to keep going and don't give up my dreams.
